Get to know me! 

Hello, I'm Brian, the Founder and CEO of Trajectory Youth Initiatives (TYI). I have lived in Alaska since September 1st, 2017, and have had the opportunity to work in many impactful jobs, the most memorable being my work with youth in the Fairbanks and Anchorage school districts.

 

My passion has always been discipleship/mentorship with people who need some guidance and a sense of hope. I started this center out of a passion to see youth find their purpose and passion and make safer connections along that journey. 13-14 years ago, I wrote down some ideas for starting a youth center. Life got the best of me, and I let go of that dream. Over the last 3 1/2 years, I have been the instructor of a substance misuse program for the Anchorage School District, where I served hundreds and hundreds of youth who were suspended for substance-related problems on school grounds. Through this, I learned so much about why they do what they do and the barriers to achieving what they want. Trajectory Youth Initiatives and the name was born out of all the information and feedback I was collecting over the years! The concept and name of Trajectory is all about the youth being mindful of how their every action and thought impacts the journey that they're on. Trajectory aims to help youth carve out the life they want to live. It is a direct response to the needs and desires the youth have indicated. 

This center is a way for me to utilize my passion to help lead others towards theirs.
